Parents

At Willow Montessori Academy, our goal for parent education is to have a program that enables an enthusiastic community of parents who understand the basics of Montessori philosophy, our administration of an authentic Montessori program, and support their children by integrating Montessori practices at home and in their parenting.

Willow Montessori Academy provides many opportunities for parent education including but not limited to the Montessori Journey, which is an innovative parent workshop that simulates a Montessori classroom, collaboration days and classroom observations. Our parent education program also includes guest speakers and topics on child development.

One of our goals at Willow Montessori Academy is to provide excellent parent education. This enables our adult community to understand the basics of Montessori philosophies, our administration of authentic Montessori programs, and to hone in on Montessori practices that support their children at home and through their general parenting efforts.

Parent partnership goes beyond parent education. Parents are required to sign that they have received and read the Parent Handbook. This includes information on the Parent Participation Hours. Parent families (one or two) contribute 10 hours per year. There are a variety of opportunities to meet individual needs both on campus and off.

Our Teachers:

Willow Montessori Academy is committed to maintaining its leadership in Montessori education. Our mission as educators and parents is to foster independent, confident, academically prepared, and socially responsible citizens, who will be lifelong learners and problem solvers. We will grow and evolve to meet the needs of our children, parents, and community.

WMA has a dedicated staff of teachers, assistants, enrichment, and administrative personnel who are passionate about and committed to the academic, social, emotional, and physical development of our students.

Open communication, teamwork, peer coaching, and continuous education in child development and Montessori credentialing are core values of the Willow Montessori employee team.

All of our classroom lead teachers are Montessori-credentialed or while the others are in the practicum phase of their credential. All WMA employees are required to have a minimum of 24 hours of formal continuous education every year.

Willow Montessori has a strong legacy of promoting from within and providing personal and professional growth opportunities for employees who are dedicated to guiding children in an authentic Montessori environment.

Staff development is a priority for the WMA Administration as our school’s strength and success depends on our people, our program, and the partnership we build with our parents.
