Primary Community
Ages 3 - 6 years old
Known in the Montessori world as the "Children's House," the Primary classroom is where your child's natural curiosity turns into a genuine love of learning — across practical life, sensorial exploration, language, math, and culture.
-
Hands-on learning across five key areas — Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Math, and Culture each build skills through real, purposeful work rather than passive instruction
-
A three-year cycle of mastery — mixed ages (3, 4, and 5-year-olds) learn together, with older children reinforcing their knowledge by mentoring younger ones
-
Early literacy and math made concrete — hands-on materials like sandpaper letters and number rods introduce reading, writing, and math in a tactile, intuitive way before moving to abstract thinking
-
Independence as a daily practice — children dress themselves, prepare their own snacks, and care for the classroom, building real confidence in their own abilities
-
A foundation for lifelong learning — by the time a child completes Primary, they've built the concentration, self-discipline, and curiosity that carry them successfully into elementary school and beyond
